Chinese bean – Chinese cowpea is a climber reaching about 3 m in height, similar in taste to green beans. Requires a warm, sunny and sheltered position. The fruits of the bean plant are in the shape of thin pods that reach a length of 30 cm to 100 cm. First harvest of pods about 60-70 days after sowing. Harvest should be done successively. It bears fruit until the first frost. Bean pods can be eaten in various forms – raw, cooked, fried, dried, pickled. Perfect for freezing. The beans are very tasty.
