Funkia (Hosta) ‘Elegans’ is a variety that grows up to 120 cm. It is very decorative with leaves that, depending on the sunlight falling on them, can change color from green to blue. The leaves are large, heart-shaped, with visible veining. Bell-shaped flowers appear in June at the top of erect stems, forming clusters, but unlike other hostas, ‘Elegans’ are white, not lavender.
Funkia Elegans is perfect for heavily shaded flowerbeds or filling empty spaces under trees, as well as in sunny places. When planting this variety, it is worth remembering that the more sunlight falls on the leaves of this variety, the stronger they turn blue.

The vast majority of varieties prefer shady and moist positions, but there are also varieties for planting in more sunny places.
