Anulka F1 is a highly valued variety of field cucumber. It is typically gherkin-like, produces small, very shapely fruit with moderately numerous papillae. It has light green skin with clear grooves on its surface. The variety is very fertile, the fruits appear on dense plants. Its most important advantage is resistance to diseases – high tolerance to downy mildew and common mosaic virus as well as resistance to cucurbit scab. It does not require chemical protection and can be grown on organic plantations.
Anulka F1 cucumber fruits do not ripen evenly and require daily harvesting. However, they are perfect for gherkins and, although they are small, they can be used for canning. They are suitable for amateur cultivation, and can often be found in large-scale cultivation intended for trade.
