Location
Garlics require full sun or partial sun.
Soil
They grow best in well-drained, humus-rich soil that is deeply tilled and sufficiently moist.
Planting
Autumn garlic cultivation begins from September to November, and spring garlic cultivation begins from April to May. The plant is frost-resistant. Before winter, the plants develop a strong root system, and when warm spring days arrive, they grow very quickly.
Care
The plants require watering during periods of spring drought and regular weeding. During active growth, feed them 2-3 times with a compound fertilizer. After flowering, cut off the flower heads to prevent seed formation – then the plant will use all the nutrients to build the bulb. Garlic should be grown in the same location for 2-3 years. Storage
Dig the bulbs after the leaves have dried, dry them at 20°C, and store them in a well-ventilated room until replanting.
