Spring Crocus Ruby Giant – 10 pcs Crocus Bulbs
Location
Sunny or partially shaded spots in garden beds, rock gardens, and well-maintained lawns.
Soil
Crocuses thrive best in humus-rich, well-draining, and moderately moist soil.
Planting
Crocus bulbs should be planted from September to November. Plant the bulbs at a depth of around 5–10 cm, with a spacing of 10–15 cm between them. For the best visual effect, plant in groups of several or even dozens. Left undisturbed for several years, they form dense clumps. Ideal for planting under trees and shrubs, along the edges of garden beds, or in rock gardens. Crocuses can also be grown in containers and boxes.
Care
Fertilize crocuses with multi-component fertilizers 2–3 times during the period of vigorous growth. If grown on lawns, delay the first mowing until the crocus leaves have withered.
Storage
Crocus bulbs are usually dug up every 3–4 years, typically in early to mid-June, but only after the leaves begin to wither. After digging, dry the bulbs at a temperature of 20–25°C, then clean and separate the offset bulbs. Store the cleaned bulbs in a well-ventilated place until planting time.
