Description
The Ice Cream tulip is a variety with exceptionally beautiful and charming blooms. You could say the flower consists of two parts: the lower section is greenish-pink, while the upper part is snow-white. The combination is truly stunning—your garden can look just as amazing!
The Ice Cream tulip reaches full bloom in May. To grow properly, it requires a sunny location and light, humus-rich soil full of nutrients and minerals. Bulbs should be planted about 12 cm deep, ideally between late September and October.
Position
Tulips bloom best in sunny locations. They also do well near deciduous trees and shrubs, as they usually flower before those plants fully leaf out. Medium and tall varieties are great for garden beds, while shorter types are also suitable for rock gardens and containers.
Soil
Tulips prefer light yet fertile soils. Proper drainage is essential for healthy growth.
Planting
Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn (September to November), allowing time for roots to develop. Plant at a depth of around 12 cm and water thoroughly after planting.
